Initial Setup

Welcome to the initial setup of Numiato. In this guide we will walk you through the commissioning step by step.

Prerequisites

To be able to manage devices with Numiato, the following prerequisites must be met:

  • An existing Microsoft 365 tenant.
  • At least one Microsoft 365 A3 license in the tenant, assigned to users.
  • A user with the "Global Administrator" role for the initial setup.

Step 1: Set up Numiato

In the first step, we activate your Numiato tenant and ensure that it can communicate with your Intune instance. To do this, you need a Microsoft 365 account with the "Global Administrator" role.

  1. Log in to the Numiato Login Website with your Microsoft 365 school account.

  1. Click Accept to allow sign-in to Numiato with your Microsoft 365 account.

  1. Read the notes carefully and click Sign in with Microsoft to grant Numiato permission to manage devices and settings on your behalf.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Confirm.

  1. Your account is being prepared.

  1. After preparation is complete, you will be taken to the Numiato dashboard.

Steps 2–6: Configuration

  • 2. Create Groups


    Create your own rooms and categories. Rooms are ideal for stationary devices to specifically assign applications or settings to them.

    Add applications from the App Store to your inventory and assign them to individual devices, categories, or rooms.

    Add printers and assign them to the appropriate categories or rooms.

  • 5. Add Policies


    Customize pre-built, school-optimized policies to suit your needs.

  • 6. Enroll Devices


    Enroll the first devices in Numiato.

Step 7: Completion

Setup complete

You have successfully completed the initial configuration and are ready to go.

The devices should now be assigned to the categories and rooms. You have added applications from the Numiato App Store and assigned them to devices. You may also have customized policies and enrolled the first devices. Now add more devices and manage your school's IT with Numiato!
